Catch and release

So I may have told you that we have acreage, that includes a very beautiful "little" pond. We are a little out of the way of the cities hustle and bustle which can sometimes annoy me, but other times I don't mind.  The view of my pond from my kitchen window makes up for it most of the time. In the summer we love having friends over to sit around the fire pit at the ponds edge, taking kids out in the paddle boats. This weekend, before the rains came back. we got to enjoy time out fishing. Joel had his parents come over for fishing and a hot dog roast. The found a little kids fishing pole second hand, which was great, cause Phillips' had broken. Not only did this $3 fishing pole catch one fish, it caught 2 big bass.

Here are pictures of the first bass they caught. the others they released pretty quick, because Phil was scared of them.
Reeling it in!

Phillip was pretty scared of the fish and we had a hard time showing a smile

There is a forced smile of the proud Fishermen and their catch

Joel, Phillip and grandpa looking over the fish before they released it.
