okay so I am not a Morning Person. I would much rather wake up when my body is ready. then lay in bed and contemplate life's problems or decide how i am going to tackle the day, while my mind takes the time to wake up. But the Job of Motherhood is not conducive to that lifestyle, as many of you might know. So I thought I would tell you about my morning.
With that being said, I believe there is an acceptable time for children to wake up (ie no earlier than 6am, newborns sometimes excluded from this rule)
5am- Phillip wakes up and crawls into Bed asking if he can get up and watch TV. Groggy me answers No come snuggle in bed and go back to sleep with me.
5:11am: Joel's Cell Phone goes off with his annoying alarm. Turn off, convince Phil it is not time to get up and to go back to sleep.
5:22 am- Joel comes home to grab his cell Phone. Tells Phil to go back to sleep.
5:25am - Joel leaves waking up Tommy in the process. He doesn't need to eat for an hour, so I try to get him back to sleep by laying him on my chest in our Bed.
5:30- Phil is too excited having the baby in bed with us to go to sleep. Give him an ultimatum, he can either Sleep in this bed, or he can go back to his own bed and read books for half an hour. He decided to try to sleep
5:47am: rhythmic breathing and lack of squirming from Phillip, could he be sleeping? Closed eyes and lack of whimpering and squirming from Tommy, could he be sleeping? Does this mean I could close my eyes and get 20 minutes more sleep?? yeaaah!!
6:30am- Tommy starts whimper and squirm, now it is time for him to eat. Make hasty move to the living room to feed him as to not wake Phillip.
7:20am- Phillip wakes up, comes out and makes his normal requests. Change Tommy's diaper and then proceed to the kitchen and start Coffee.
